Wipeout hd fury menu screen upgrade#
Of course, since the games originally released for PlayStation 3 and Vita, the visual upgrade is certainly something to look forward to but it might not be enough to justify getting this Collection if you’ve played the games before. This might be a downside for the hardcore fans since those fans already know every sharp turn or obstacle on the courses. If you’ve played the games before, there’s not that much new to discover. One thing’s for sure, you won’t be bored quickly. The amount of content for the solo gamer is incredible and it even gets better when you know there’s an impressive online multiplayer where you can challenge other gamers from all over the world. WipEout 2048 is even bigger, giving you a campaign mode that is set in the years 2048, 20. In WipEout HD and Fury, you’re able to gain around 80 medals, unlocking new vehicles and extras along the way. The mechanism of the game stays the same whatever version you play but there are some slight differences, of course. Right from the start, you can select one of the three games and start racing. The graphics truly are amazing so even when you’ve played the games before, you’ll be impressed with the amount of details that were added to the cars and courses.

All of the games have been enhanced to support 4K and 60fps on your console, resulting in the best looking WipEout game on the market. The best thing about this is that WipEout 2048 was originally a PS Vita game so it’s the first time you’re able to play it on a home console. Meaning that there are two main games (HD and 2048) and one huge DLC pack (Fury). The Collection contains WipEout HD, WipEout Fury and WipEout 2048. Sony does realise this and made sure they packed this Collection with tons of gameplay. It’s very unclear if we’ll ever see a new entry in the future so this Collection really is the next best thing. Of course, creating a new entry isn’t that easy when the original team doesn’t exist anymore. We’ve seen a lot of HD remakes, remasters and collections lately so why this WipEout collection? Well, first of all, it’s simply been way too long since we got a new entry in this franchise. To soften the pain, Sony released the WipEout: Omega Collection. The original team behind WipEout doesn’t exist anymore so it’s been years since we’ve seen a new entry. It often got compared to Nintendo’s F-Zero franchise and the quality is definitely similar. No, I’m not talking about that silly television show, WipEout was once one of the best futuristic racers on Sony’s console.

I know you wouldn’t get the cockpit view like in Omega, but you’d still be able to use internal/nosecam view, right? Would headtracking work so you can look around? I’ve seen VR working (to a degree) on PPSSPP with Pulse on a couple of youtube vids with headtracking.WipEout is a name that should ring a bell if you’re a PlayStation fan.

I’d love to play the original HD-Fury in VR, but on a PC and with a HOTAS controller like this one: Can anyone with more knowledge on these types of matters confirm? Not sure what is or isn’t allowed to be discussed here, but i’ve seen VR working (sort of) with RPS3, and read a few forum posts suggesting it might work with HD-Fury (not specifically, but i saw HD-Fury amongst a list of 3D compatible games and that helps with VR in RPS3 or somesuch).
